Cornell University

Welcome

The Cell Biology Hub at the Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology is a collaborative network of researchers united by a shared goal: to uncover how cells build, organize, and adapt themselves to sustain life. We bring together graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty across the Institute who study the architecture and dynamics of cells — from cytoskeletal remodeling and organelle biogenesis to signaling, membrane trafficking, and tissue morphogenesis.

Our community is open to anyone within the Cornell community with an interest in cellular mechanisms, regardless of discipline or experimental system. Whether your work focuses on imaging molecular machines, engineering synthetic systems, or modeling emergent behaviors, the Cell Biology Hub provides a space to exchange ideas, find collaborators, and connect with others who think deeply about how cells work.

Through regular discussion groups, invited seminars, and joint research initiatives, we aim to create an intellectually vibrant environment that fosters both technical innovation and conceptual advances. Members have opportunities to present ongoing work, share new methods, and receive feedback from peers across diverse biological fields.

By joining, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary community that values curiosity, mentorship, and open exchange. Together, we are building an environment that supports exploration — from fundamental discoveries to translational insights that bridge molecular detail and organismal biology.

Whether you are new to Cornell or an established researcher looking to broaden your collaborations, the Cell Biology Hub welcomes your ideas, your questions, and your curiosity about the living world at its most fundamental level: the cell.
